Maureen's story
For the last 15 years, I've been busy raising my son and supporting my brother's children. I find so much enjoyment in supporting others, and it has been a privilege to watch them grow up.
Based on my experience, I've been thinking about moving into a professional care role for some time. I've recently completed a Pathway to Care certificate which I really enjoyed - it's definitely strengthened my motivation to support others as a care assistant.
I hope to one day move out of temporary accommodation and into my own home. I want to progress in my career and give back to my community. Beam has helped me, and I want to support someone too.
