I thoroughly love everything creative, competitive and community based. From the visual arts, music, dance to sports and social events. I especially take pride in the charity work that I do; working with women and girls that have gone through domestic abuse. My family are my world and my friends are the family that I chose.
My housing situation became difficult over the past year due to differences at home with my parents. I became pregnant in my last year at university and it caused tension between us. I've had to sofa surf between friends and family since then.
Being pregnant and going through all of this during a global pandemic has been one of the most difficult challenges I've ever faced. The experience made me change my perception of failure and has clarified what matters most to me; having a solid foundation for my baby to grow.
My dream is to have a home of our own, where I can put my child in a good school. I also have aspirations for my own career. I love graphic design and illustration. I've always loved art as kid and I used to spend hours on end drawing, at home, in school and finally studying it at university. For me, art is a form of visual language and I communicate well through images. Perhaps I'll have my own art studio or creative company one day. For now though, getting a stable place for me and my baby to live is the most important thing.
