Hi, I'm Mee. I'm a parent to two wonderful boys aged 15 and 11. We've been living in a private rented property for many years now, and have really made it our home. However, we're facing eviction and are at risk of homelessness as our landlord is selling the property. It's a really stressful time, especially as I'm working part-time and doing everything I can to find an affordable new home for us. I've never been one to let life's challenges get me down, I just get on with things, but this situation has been particularly tough.
Cooking for my boys and experimenting with new recipes is something that brings me joy. We also love watching films together - it's our little tradition. One of the biggest challenges I've faced was when a trusted friend abandoned my youngest son when he broke his foot. My oldest son and I had to take turns carrying him to the hospital and other places. Despite the difficulties, my main goal is to provide a stable and safe home for my children. It's been hard dealing with personal and financial difficulties, especially with my family living in a foreign country and unable to help much.
Knowing that there are people out there willing to support us gives me a sense of relief. It's comforting to know that we're not alone in this. I'm excited about launching this Beam donations page because it brings us closer to having a safe and secure home. If you choose to donate, I want to say a heartfelt thank you. Your support means the world to us. In two years, I hope to see my children thriving in a secure environment, and maybe even take them on trips to places like Blackpool or the Pleasure Beach. Achieving this goal with Beam would give me peace of mind, and I believe I'd finally be able to sleep well.
