My housing situation became a nightmare after I visited an ill family member with my 6 month old daughter. When I returned three men had moved into my property. They told me it was their home now and slammed the door in my face. I noticed that all of our clothes were dumped outside and covered in rain and mud. I felt really unsafe so I ran away with my daughter. A few months after this stressful ordeal I thankfully managed to find a new home but it is completely unfurnished and quite run down.
It feels fantastic knowing that Beam is able to help us. I know that furnishing the property will make it into a proper home for me and my daughter. I really wish for a more stable life in the future, I want my daughter to feel safe and live in a happy home. I don’t want either of us to experience anything like our last property ever again.
