I have many passions in my life. One being photography, I've always loved it, and I enjoy taking photos of all sorts of things such as landscapes, architecture and people. I also love to go on walks and hike through beautiful scenery. It not only allows me to take photos, but it's also the fresh air and exercise that I enjoy the most.
Surviving the lockdown has certainly been the biggest obstacle I've overcome. It's easy to do nothing and allow yourself to become unhealthy. I've tried to remain positive and keep active. Having a flatmate and speaking to people online has made the experience better. The most difficult situation during lockdown has to do with my housing. Unfortunately, I've been asked to leave my current accommodation. The house was overcrowded, and the landlord wants the house back. It's been stressful trying to find a place to live and find a job at the same time.
I've been trying to find work in facilities, however, it's been tough because of what's been going on in the hospitality sector. My immediate focus now is getting a warehouse job due to my experience working in stock deliveries. I'm excited to do the forklift training course to build upon my adaptive skills. Afterwards, I would love to go back into facilities management and gain my IOSH qualification.
My plan for the future is to buy my own place and succeed in my job. I would also love to have the time to travel and visit my family, who are all overseas. It's been a dream of my mine to travel all over the world!
