After leaving Afghanistan and arriving in the UK, I have found it very difficult to find a good job. I have previously worked as a Doctor for over 20 years and had my own clinic. But now I am in the UK, I need to start from the beginning again as my qualifications do not transfer over, so I haven't been able to do what I love and found it very challenging to find a job in my field.
Currently I am studying hard to pass the exams that overseas doctors require to practise again here in the UK. Unfortunately, the exams cost a lot of money and so my biggest aim at the moment is to get support from Beam and get my licence. Once I am able to become a Doctor again, I will complete my biggest goal of all which is to support my lovely family and work for people who need my help as a responsible Doctor.
Looking forward, I want to live my life like a normal British Citizen. I want to be a hard worker and have good achievements in my field that I can look back on and be proud of. Most of all, I want to help those people who need support just like me.
