I was comfortable living in a flat with my family before a series of unfortunate events left us needing housing support. After 13 years in our home, the landlord decided to sell the property. Unfortunately, not too long after COVID hit, I also lost my job. This meant we had to move into a council assigned temporary accommodation.
While I'm grateful for the support we received, living in a studio with two teenage sons was not the easiest of environments for us to live in. One of my sons has now moved out but this is not a permanent situation we want to be in.
After working many years as a beauty therapist I want to retrain and find a career I can take forward. I want to become a dental nurse. I've built up a lot of knowledge when it comes to the human body and this is a career I'm passionate about. I'm so excited to start learning and take this next step in my journey.
I just want my children to be happy and help provide them with some stability in the future. My dream future is to live in the countryside, with space to grow my own fruit and veg and maybe even have a big dog I can take for long walks. For now, I'm focusing on training, working and building towards that dream future!
