Family is the most important part of my life. A couple of years ago we went through a really difficult period where there were a few deaths within the family consecutively. It's times like that when you know the true meaning of support.
My housing situation is a source of stress at the moment. I'm currently in emergency accommodation with my two youngest children who are still dependant on me. We were evicted from our previous property as I couldn't pay the rent when I lost my job. As I'm benefit capped, money is really tight at the moment. The only way of lifting the cap is through finding work so I'm really motivated to find something stable. I've been looking for a while but I've only been able to find zero hour contracts that wouldn't provide me with enough guaranteed hours.
If I don't find work, we may have to leave London, away from our support network and my children's schools. I'm trained in security so I'd be happy working in that sector as I know it well. I know that getting some extra training wiIl really boost my CV so looking forward to getting started with that. I also have experience in support work so that's another option.
Having some money coming in will be amazing, as well as knowing that I'm able to provide for my family. I feel very appreciative of the help I'm getting and I'd love to return the favour one day soon.
