Hello, I'm Nataliia. One year ago, I made the difficult decision to leave my home country, Ukraine, and seek refuge in England. This journey has been challenging, especially as I've had to leave my family behind and navigate a new language and culture. I was an accountant back in Ukraine, but the language barrier here in the UK has made it difficult for me to continue in the same line of work. I've been working in a pub for the last four months and, whilst I'm grateful for the job, I'm eager to find something that aligns more with my skills and experience.
The biggest challenge I've faced so far is the language barrier. It's been tough, but I'm determined to improve my English. I've been attending ESOL English classes four times a week and I can already see the progress I'm making. However, my classes and studying require a lot of online work and I currently don't have a laptop. This is where I need your help. With your generous donations, I can get a laptop that would greatly aid me in my studies and job applications.
Knowing that there are people out there willing to support me in achieving my goals brings me immense happiness. I'm excited about launching my Beam donations page, not just because it brings me a step closer to my goals, but because it shows the kindness and generosity of people. In two years, I hope to be settled here in England, with improved language skills and a stable job. I look forward to the day when I can pay back the kindness I've received. Thank you so much for your help. Your support means more to me than words can express.
