Life has been hard recently, I lost my job as an operations manager in February as the company closed down unexpectedly. That was pretty tough to deal with because I really enjoyed the role, and was given little warning as to what was happening, which meant that I didn't have much time to prepare for losing my job. This put quite some pressure on me to find another role as soon as possible in order to support my family. The journey to finding something new wasn't straight forward and the job market was really tough. After months of looking, I have finally started a role as supervisor for the railway industry.
At the moment, I am just trying to unwind myself from the financial pressure I have felt while being out of work. The childcare from the campaign would allow me to sustain the current role I am in and let me rebuild my financial stability again. I would like to be in a position where I do not have to worry about bills and how much food I have in the house, and be able to treat my boys to a holiday.
Thinking into the future, I would like to do the dumper truck course as I have had previous experience in construction and know about the sector. The dumper course would give me that extra skill that I could make a career out of, and schedule my life around my boys, giving me more quality time with them, which is so important to me.
