Life was good in Ukraine before the war forced us to leave our home country. Since then, things have been challenging. We came over with our daughter on a sponsor visa, and our friends did everything for us by inviting us to live with them, but we had to leave after 6 months. Like many Ukrainians, we were left homeless and have been constantly moving between temporary hotels in unfamiliar places ever since. This has caused us so much stress after living a normal life with our own home, friends, and belongings.
Everything that happened to us during the year of our stay here is impossible to write in a few sentences, but feeling that we are not abandoned is worth so much in this difficult life. We are so grateful to everyone who has helped us - it is an amazing thing and you are saving so many lives.
My hope is for a world without war, where we can safely return to our home country and live in peace one day. I also want to wish all the people who also found themselves in the same difficult situation to find their homes as soon as possible.
