My daughters and I moved to the UK at the end of January 2022. We came with the belief that we had our accommodation sorted with no worries. We began by living with relatives of my husband.
Unfortunately, pressure started mounting by our hosts for us to move out and look for alternative accommodation. The pressure to move, coupled with threats of being thrown out by our hosts, has been so intense that we now face imminent homelessness.
It is really heartwarming to know that there are still kind and loving people in the world who go out of their way to help others in need. What excites me most is the love and generosity people are willing to give me, a complete stranger. The possibility of my daughters and I having a roof over our heads this winter is a delightful thought.
