When the Taliban came to Afghanistan, I lost my job and home, leaving us with no way to support ourselves. I had no job to support my six children, and I feared for our safety, so we had to leave. Since arriving in the UK, it has been very challenging. Without a job and having to learn English from the beginning, it has been tough to support ourselves again.
My biggest goal is to secure a job to provide and do everything for my family. Speaking little English has made it hard to find a new job, but I am hopeful to overcome this so that we don't struggle as much.
What makes me happy is seeing my family happy. I am hopeful that once I secure a job and am able to study English, we can build a good life here. Thank you for your support.
