I remember my first time visiting Liverpool Street when I arrived in London. Seeing the buildings and seeing people dressed smartly for work inspired me. I have always wanted to work in an office setting and after seeing those things, I felt inspired and a sense of belonging in London. I'm looking forward to having a career I have always dreamt about and improving my self esteem.
I became homeless in March 2017 after my uncle kicked me and my daughter out of his house. Being homeless as a single mum has taken a toll on a lot of things including my social life. I have lost a lot of friends. I am partly looking forward to having a social life back! Things started getting better for us after the council housed us. I had an amazing social worker who helped me get in touch with legal aid to solidify my stay in the country. Having my leave to remain has given me a sense of relief.
I am motivated by completing difficult projects and seeing things through to the end. I'm very excited to gain knowledge and experience through this training. I'm even more excited to be creative with ideas that improve things and for the opportunity to work within a successful ideas filled team.
I can't wait to be able to provide decent accommodation for myself and my daughter!
