I am at my happiest when I am around my family and friends. I laugh and smile a lot when I am around them and enjoy the good memories we shared through life. I enjoy being around others socialising as it helps me to feel more relaxed and enjoy my life better!
I have been living in a state of dispare for a long time and before Beam I couldn't really see an end to my problems. My environment constantly made me feel unsafe and my health was already in decline, but being homeless made things worse and I wasn't coping at all. I lost so much confidence in myself when I first became homeless and I faced many obstacles because of my situation. I was extremely limited and felt hopeless.
Now that I am close to finding a home I feel more optimistic about my life. It gives me hope that I can achieve anything with the kindness of others and their encouragement will help me to become an independent person again. It is amazing to know people are willing to support me in finding a stable home for myself and it is the most important factor in moving forward in life and in reaching my full potential.
When I find a flat I know I'll be less stressed and anxious. Having a home in familiar surroundings, with family nearby, will help me gain confidence and focus on things other than housing so I can move on independently and build a new life for myself. Personal growth is most important for me and I know it will take time. Now that I know I will have a good home, I hope in 2 years time to be in a stable job.
