The last couple of years has been tough. I found myself living on my brother's sofa after a breakdown of my relationship and losing my job. This was not a comfortable period for me - it was tough for me mentally.
Thankfully, Thamesreach were able to step in and assist me with my housing. I needed this space in order to get my life back on track. Since moving in I've managed to find some work in construction. This is an industry I've always worked in and I want to progress further. However, I do not have the money to complete the training.
The role I'm in at the moment is not secure and does not offer any progression. While I'm grateful to be in work, this position is not sustainable. It's a zero-hours role and I'm not able to make plans for the future. Beam is going to support me to complete training so I can secure an employment contract. This way, I can start saving money and get my own place eventually.
