I have faced ongoing challenges throughout my adult life. When I left my family home at the age of 17 I had to navigate life on my own. For over a decade, I was in a long-term relationship where I made sacrifices to support the other person's goals, inadvertently neglecting my own needs. The relationship eventually became unhealthy, yet I stayed until I could gather the strength to move on.
Despite contributing financially, I left with little to call my own. I experienced a period of homelessness for six months. Eventually, I found a place to live, which I cherished for two years. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, I faced the challenge of relocating.
My life has been marked by difficulties in relationships, and more recently, I had to undergo major surgery, keeping me away from work for nearly six months. I've never had anyone I could rely on for help, so the overwhelming support I've received means the world to me. I long for a stable place to call home, to return to work, and most importantly, to rediscover happiness. The prospect of settling down somewhere brings me immeasurable joy and gratitude.
