Hello, my name is Sara. I am a mother and an artist at heart. I love to paint and write poetry, but it's been a long time since I've been able to indulge in these passions. My son and I moved to the UK seeking asylum and after two and a half years, we finally received our settlement. But the journey has been challenging and we have been living in temporary accommodation.
The biggest challenge I've faced is the constant threat of homelessness. Since being granted asylum, finding a stable home for my son and me has been a struggle. I've learned to manage on my own, but the fight has left me tired. I am grateful that there are people out there willing to help me achieve my goal. A place where we can finally settle down and start building our lives here in the UK.
I am excited and hopeful about launching my Beam donations page. The idea of receiving support to find a stable home was initially scary, but the Beam team has been incredibly supportive. I am grateful for this opportunity and to everyone who chooses to donate. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your support. It will make a huge difference in our lives.
