Hey, I'm Shania.
I've been sofa surfing for the past few months, moving from one friend's house to another. My mum kicked me out for coming home late one night and since then, finding stable accommodation has been my biggest challenge. I've even slept rough a few times, which is something I wouldn't wish on anyone. Despite the stress of it all, I've managed to keep my mental health in check, but it's not an easy task.
What keeps me going is the thought of having a place I can call my own. A place where I don’t have to worry about overstaying my welcome or where I'll sleep the next night. I'm also on the council housing register and bid every Friday, but haven't had any luck yet. This is why I've turned to Beam. My goal is to move into a stable home, a place where I can start building a future for myself.
Knowing that there are people out there who want to support me in achieving my goal gives me hope. It's exciting to think that this campaign could be a turning point in my life. When you donate to my page, know that I am immensely grateful for your help. In two years' time, I see myself in a stable house and with a stable job. Achieving this goal with Beam will take a huge weight off my shoulders, and I can't wait to feel that sense of relief and happiness.
