As a proud British Army Veteran, I was happily supported into a housing association flat after completing my service. Unfortunately, the house wasn’t taken care of well by the landlord. We pleaded with them several times to do essential repairs but they didn’t bother and we ended having major issues with the flat. These issues are impacting my families health which is becoming increasingly concerning. There are huge leaks, which are creating a lot of mould build up all over the walls and cracks. It's just not safe anymore. The situation is becoming unlivable and we're now at risk of homeless.
After my service, I had a number of physical health issues I needed to treat. Thankfully, I'm feeling physically and mentally ready to return to work. After some time working for the civil service in Security I feel it's time to focus on a career. I've always been creative and good at construction work. I've already obtained my CSCS card and want to train to help me achieve my goal of becoming a site supervisor.
My Dream is to fulfil my family’s dreams and definitely help others to achieve their dreams. I can only be in a position to support everyone else after stabilising my own situation.
