My children make me incredibly happy. They always have so much energy and I can’t help but smile when I’m around them. Another passion of mine is baking. In particular I love making sculpted cakes - I once made a Victoria sponge handbag which I was particularly proud of. My other passion in life is the law, I studied it as a degree and hope one day to become a solicitor.
Due to circumstances out of our control, my family and I needed to move from our last home. I found a place and the council helped me get set up, the only drawback was that it was in a completely different area.
I won’t lie that it was a pretty daunting idea to move somewhere totally new. It has been challenging but now I’m looking to embrace it as a totally fresh start. In doing so it has also given me the confidence to take those first steps towards my dream career. My plan is to go into support work first as that will provide me with so many relevant experiences. I’ll get to meet people from all different walks of life, understand their problems and see the impact the law has on their day to day living. It also gives me the opportunity to help people which is the reason I wanted to get into the law.
I’m so grateful to have this opportunity with Beam. Their support is helping me hone and develop the skills I know I have. It’s also enabling me to build towards my future.
