Recently, my housing situation has been quite challenging. After coming from Ukraine, I lived with a kind host, but when I found a job, the three-hour daily commute became too much, and I knew I needed to find a place of my own. However, it was tough because I had no guarantor and was only working part-time. The constant rejections from housing agencies added to my stress, especially as I had limited time before my host arrangement ended.
The biggest challenge I faced was the continuous rejection due to not having a guarantor and being in part-time work. But then I discovered Beam, and it made me so excited and happy to know that people wanted to support me and my family in starting anew.
What excites me the most about launching my Beam donations page is the opportunity to give my daughter the stability she needs as she starts secondary school. I recently found a place that shortens my commute, making me very happy. It's only half an hour to get to my daughter's school and an hour to get to work, allowing me to work more as well.
To anyone who donates, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for helping me find a stable place to start a home for me and my daughter.
In two years' time, my hope is to be in a stable job, building a brighter future for ourselves.
