I suffer from hyperparathyroidism, and was diagnosed in 2019. Due to COVID, and my illness I was unable to work and I haven't worked since 2020 now. I have been getting behind on my rent payments because of this, and I have some loans and arrears I'm slowly trying to pay back.
Surgery can be really successful in treating hyperparathyroidism, but my surgeries have been rescheduled so many times now it's hard to stay motivated. The symptoms that come with this issue are chronic fatigue and body aches however I try to stay active, take vitamins and walk as much as I can. I finally have my surgery booked in a few weeks, and I would like help with a laptop, and an English course and then I'd be ready to start work again.
I just need a bit of support to reignite my career. I have worked in retail, first as a retail assistant and then as a retail supervisor and I’ve also had experience in the healthcare industry as a carer. I’d love the chance to become an Occupational Therapist one day but for now, I’d love the opportunity to get back to work to get some more stability, and then I can focus on my long-term goals.
