I came to the UK in 2013 and lived a lovely life, working full-time and enjoying London. I had a happy job and was able to spend quality time with my children. Then in 2016, I was diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer.
I had to leave work and get treatment, which was hard for me as well as for my family. Now I am happy to say that I am cancer free! I feel ready to get back to work and restart my life.
I've been volunteering at the hospital for the past year, and I absolutely love it. I love helping mothers and their babies through the whole process of bringing a new life into the world, from pregnancy to delivery and beyond.
I want to do this for a living—and now, thanks to you, I can! I can't wait to start my safeguarding course and apply for roles as a childcare worker.
Thank you so much for believing in me and supporting me along the way.
