Raising two boys completely on my own has been a huge challenge, you don’t get any days off. Now my children are older I want to get back to work so my family has a stable income. Getting a job is a priority for me as I want my family to be in a stable home.
I’m looking for administration roles initially, however, my dream for the future is to be an accountant in this country. My father was an accountant for three different companies so my passion for accounting started young. I have all the skills to be a great accountant and can imagine myself working in an international banking institution one day.
Before I came to the UK I worked in the finance team of an NGO that helped people with HIV. I loved this work so much as I felt like I was having a really positive impact on people’s lives, whilst doing a job that I really enjoyed. I hope in the future I can find a job that gives me this balance again.
Apart from finance and accounting, I also love to sing. I have a real passion for gospel music and singing it always makes me happy.
I’m looking forward to the moment where I can do everything on my own, however, for the time being I am glad that I am not on my own and I feel really grateful for any support I receive.
