Family is really important to me and I love nurturing those relationships. I enjoy cooking and trying out new recipes so it's always my family who get to try first.
I have been in temporary accommodation for several years after I becoming homeless when I lost my job. One of the biggest challenges I've overcome is getting my confidence back after losing it all when I was let go. Going through an experience like that makes you question yourself and your abilities. I recently got some help from services that have helped me to be open about my experiences and it's helped me to feel like myself again.
Now that I'm in a better place, I'm really motivated to get into work and start improving my situation. I'll be looking for work as a warehouse operative but I'm pretty open to different roles. In my previous job I enjoyed working with people and felt pride in giving a good service. Feeling that pride was an important part of work for me.
In the long term I'd love to do something in administration. I believe I'm good at it and I'll be taking a course through Beam to up skill in this area. I feel excited that I am going to be given the tools to create a better future for myself and my family.
