Feeling that you have someone by your side supporting you in one of the most difficult moments of your life is an act of solidarity and empathy that not everyone can offer. Beam has been with us every step of the way and has been guiding us, motivating us, and helping us with anything we need.
Being a family of five, it has been very difficult for us to come to a country as diverse and large as the UK. Above all, we have had to go through difficult economic and social situations to be able to adapt and build a new life here.
When I first came to London last year, it was very difficult to find a house that would suit the needs of my wife, who suffers from various medical conditions that make her daily life, like going up the stairs, difficult. I had no choice but to take the first house that was offered to me due to price and location. However, my family has been suffering since, due to it being too small and unsuitable. I have had to balance caring for my wife alongside working and trying to find a suitable home for my family.
Two years from now I would like to feel emotional and financial stability, and to as be volunteering to help people in my situation. In addition, I would like my children to be studying and to be able to achieve all the goals they set for themselves.
