Hello, my name is Amy. I'm on a mission to make a difference in people's lives and I'm hoping you can help me. My happiness comes from knowing that I've made a positive impact in someone else's life. This is why I chose nursing as my profession. I worked as a nurse in my home country and I want to continue my career here in the UK. However, my biggest challenge has been getting registered as a nurse again and finding a job that leads me back to nursing.
I've faced a lot of challenges in my life, but I've always been resilient. I'm currently living in temporary accommodation and am asylum seeker, after fleeing a dangerous situation in my home country.
With Beam, my sisters and I want to move to London, so I can pursue my passion of nursing and my sisters can get part-time work and study. Our current supported accomodation doesn't allow us to work more than 15 hours a week, so your support in moving into more permanent housing is critical for our journey!
Knowing that there are people out there who want to support me in achieving my goal gives me a great feeling. It makes me realise that there are still good people in the world. I'm excited about launching my Beam donations page because it's a step towards making a difference in people's lives again.
