I am currently staying in a hostel for the homeless and this has been the first step in gaining some stability within my own life. I had a rocky relationship with my mum. With the help of those around me during these rough times, I saw light at the end of the tunnel when I was offered temporary accommodation. This period impacted my mental health. It's taken a while for me to rebuild myself.
One of the turning points in my journey was acknowledging my mental health and separating myself from the negative influences in my life. This was not easy, it took a lot of effort and patience. It started with changing my friendship circle and then repairing my mental health. It's been hard work but I'm starting to see the benefits and I feel a lot better.
The most exciting aspect of launching the beam campaign is knowing that peoples dreams really do come true and the help and support from others can drive individuals to create not only a difference in their own life’s but also a chance to also give back to those who helped them.
My long-term goal is to become a project manager. However, for now, I just want to keep moving forward and secure stable employment. I like keeping active so a Warehouse role will be a good fit for me.
