My problems in Syria began on the date of the outbreak of the Syrian revolution. Overnight, Syria became aflame with war, conflict, killing, and destruction. I lost my brothers and friends. My little brother was killed and my big brother was arrested. To this day, I do not know if he is alive or not. I was a high school student when the revolution began, and I was able to enroll in the Institute of Banking and Financial Sciences, but because of the war, I could no longer go to my institute.
I stopped studying for a year and applied to the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering in Damascus and was accepted, but unfortunately, the war meant I couldn't go. My city was besieged so that no one could leave or enter for two years, which made me want to serve in the army. Eventually, the ongoing conflict and danger meant I had to leave the country and head to a safe country where I could live and help my family in Syria. I have to get a job so that I can support my family in Syria and bring my wife to live with me because I have been away from her for three years.
My long-term dream is to complete my studies in my commercial field as a businessman or to be the owner of an import and export company. I study commerce from high school to university, so I love trade matters and I hope to fulfill my dream of being a symbol in this field. In the short term, I would like to gain a construction qualification so that I can earn enough money to bring my family over from Syria and give them a better life. This way, I can be an inspiration to my children, brothers, and future generations.
