Hello, I'm Dee. I find happiness in the small joys in life. A walk in the park, the sight of beautiful flowers, a good book, or a DIY project - these are the things that bring me joy. But life hasn't always been kind. I once had a home, a place I had worked hard to make comfortable and truly mine. But I lost it all due to a flood, including my dream laptop, a MacBook Pro. I wasn't compensated for any of it, and it took a toll on my mental health. To add to this, I was taken advantage of by someone I thought was supportive, and I had to flee.
My goal with Beam is to find a stable career and a place I can call home long term. I'm a hardworking individual, and I'm eager to find a role that allows me to maximise my skills and provides an opportunity for growth and learning. I've lived in temporary accommodations for so long that having a permanent home feels out of reach. But I believe that achieving these two things will help me establish myself as a person.
Knowing that there are people out there willing to support me fills my heart with gratitude. For years, I've been known to serve others, often putting their needs before mine. But now, I realise that it's okay to accept help. Launching my Beam donations page is a big step for me. I'm excited to share my story, in the hope that it might inspire and encourage others. I want to show that there is hope, and it's okay to start again. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for your generous support. I'm grateful for many things, and your donation is a big part of that. I hope life grants you nothing short of peace and happiness.
