My name is Idiat and my main goal with Beam is to find a stable home. I've been sofa surfing and moving between friends' houses, so having a place of my own is really important to me and means I can keep working as a carer for the elderly. The biggest challenge I've faced has been the instability of not having a place to live. It's been tough moving around and not having a place to call home.
Knowing people want to support me in achieving my goal feels amazing. It's really heartwarming to know there are people out there who care and want to help me get back on my feet. I'm most excited about the opportunity to launch my Beam donations page because it means I can take a big step towards finding a stable home. It's a chance for me to reach out to the community and ask for their support.
When I achieve my goal with Beam, it will be an incredible feeling of relief and hope. Having a stable home will mean everything to me, and it will be a huge weight off my shoulders. In two years, I'd like to still be working and living comfortably. I want to be in a position where I can look back and feel proud of how far I've come.
What makes me happy is the thought of having a place to call my own, where I can feel safe and secure. It's the little things that will bring joy, like having a space to relax and feel at home.
