My family are the most important thing to me. I am really close with them, and I do my best to make sure that my daughters and my grandkids are happy and looked after.
I moved to London in 2018 after living in Torquey for 16 years. I lived there with my youngest daughter and my husband. After losing both of his parents, my husband left me, and at the time I wasn't able to cover the rent alone. I decided to move out of the property and allow the landlord to keep the deposit, as I was unaware that I was able to claim universal credit to pay the rent at the time. I didn't feel like I had anyone supporting me or giving me guidance, so my only option was to move to London.
Since then my daughter and I have been living with my mum in her 1 bedroom flat. Up until September of 2020 I was working hard to save up enough money to get my own place and build a better future, but because of the pandemic I lost my job.
All I want is a place for me and my daughter to call home. In the future I would love to move to Tenerife and start a life there. As a child I used to go there on holidays with my grandparents and having grown up in care, those were some of my most special memories.
