I've been living in London since the invasion and I am so grateful to the UK for welcoming us with open arms. I dream of a successful new life in London. My focus at the moment is on getting a new job, it’s really important to find a job where I can build up my English and my experience. In Ukraine I have lots of experience in the financial sector and charity sector so would ideally like to find work in that. However, I am open to finding an administration role where I can grow.
I feel so grateful to be in London. London is amazing for gardens and parks and I can’t believe that British Museum is free! When I have free time I really enjoy going to the V&A and British Museum - I like to read all about the exhibitions and practise reading English.
The amount of support I'm getting from Beam is amazing, I couldn’t believe it when the council phoned me to tell me what Beam can help with. I’ve always worked in my life, but with Ukraine being under so many challenges, I lost my successful life and I’ve had to start again. Step by step I’m building my new life. I really hope that when I have rebuilt I can help people again. It’s all a continuous cycle; when you have received help you should be able to give help back.
