This year has been a whirlwind of challenges for me. It all started when my long-term relationship ended on Valentine's Day, leaving my infant daughter and me without a home. We squeezed into my mother's two-bedroom house, already full with her and my two siblings, which was far from ideal.
Amidst this housing turmoil, my daughter's health took a turn for the worse, leading to frequent hospital visits and even a week-long stay. To add to our struggles, I had to sell my unreliable car, which has made getting around much more difficult. However, we're managing and looking forward to better days when I can afford a car again.
We are looking forward to moving into our new place; I'm overjoyed at the thought of creating a loving and joyful home for my daughter. In two years, I envision us settled and giving back the kindness we've received, living in a home that's truly ours.
