Leaving my family home with my children was the hardest decision I've ever had to make. After years of domestic violence, we had to leave everything behind and start fresh. It hasn't been easy, and finding a new place to live has been a struggle since we have no savings but I am still so proud of myself for walking away from him.
But during all the difficult times, the support we've received has been overwhelming. Complete strangers have stepped up to offer their help and kindness, and I am forever grateful. Words cannot even begin to describe what this support means to me and my family.
Now, we are so much closer to finding a proper home, and I can't wait to be settled in. Although there is still a long road ahead, the prospect of having a safe and secure place to live fills me with a sense of relief and hope for the future.
