I was living in Manchester but moved down to London in 2019 for an exciting new job opportunity. It wasn’t long until Covid hit, and I was unfortunately made redundant. I had no income but had many outgoings, it wasn’t long until I could no longer afford my rent and was left homeless.
For the next year and a half, I really struggled as I was sleeping rough and had no support which I found really tough. It really took a toll on my mental health and sleeping rough led me to feel really really depressed. I turned to alcohol to get me through the cold nights until I was approached by a fantastic charity that offered to support me with accommodation.
I am now in a place in my life where I am ready to rejoin the workforce, put the past behind me and focus on moving forwards. I would really appreciate any support you can give me to help me get back into work. I have previous experience in construction, but I am very open to hospitality or warehouse roles as well. I'm really excited about the future
