Cooking is my passion and I've always enjoyed preparing new meals for others. I've worked as a chef for a number of years both in the UK and Eritrea where I was born. Unfortunately, once COVID hit my restaurant closed and I lost my job. This started a spiral of events that has left me homeless.
During this time I've been so grateful for the kindness people have shown me. It's not been easy to get by but it's been a lot easier with the support of the church, friends and family. While this has not stopped me from having to sleep rough, it is good to know there are people out there who care. This has given me the strength to continue in the darkest moments of this period in my life.
I want to use this opportunity to learn new skills, better myself and build a secure future. This starts with moving into a stable home and then finding a sustainable work environment. Beam has opened my eyes to the possibilities of what I can achieve in the future and with your support I finally believe it is all possible.
