Due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, our life has been completely turned upside down. The long stay in the bomb shelter, especially at night, caused a constant increase in stress and anxiety. All these terrible events led to my eldest daughter's health worsening, and we were forced to leave Ukraine and flee from the war to Great Britain.
Staying in a hotel room with my two daughters, in a small space, without a kitchen has been the most difficult and stressful moments for us. For a long time, there's been an absense of warm food and decent living conditions. Before meeting with Beam, all of our attempts to rent a separate apartment were unsuccessful for many months.
But life in new conditions became a real test for us. Finding a job, learning a language, and most importantly, finding a place to live has become an incredibly difficult and at the same time exceptionally interesting way of integrating into new society. We've been met by kind people with big hearts, for which we are very grateful.
Despite all the difficulties, I am successfully studying for my courses, my youngest daughter is studying at school, and we have come to love the wonderful people around us. We are now working and we dream of having a permanent home.
I would like to see my daughters healthy and happy. I also want to feel that Great Britain has become my new home. It would be great to have new friends, good job, and create a peaceful and happy home for me and my daughters.
