I'm currently in work on a zero hour contract, but I am unable to get consistent hours to earn enough money to improve my current housing situation. I roughly work six hours every two weeks. I would like to find a job that involves interacting with customers and I'm open to quite a few roles.
I was living in my family home but experienced abuse from my step-dad. For a long time, I just lived with it until one day, my stuff was put in a bag and I was told that I wasn't allowed to come back. This has strained the relationship with my siblings and I've now been moved to temporary accommodation with support from the council. I've had viewings for more permanent properties, but unfortunately I'm not earning enough to be able to afford them.
I hope to find work with stable and consistent hours so that I can move into a place that I can call home. In the future, I'd really like to go into animal care. I have a Level 2 qualification in this sector which allows me to work as a vet assistant, in kennels or at a rescue centre. I've always loved animals so this is a huge dream of mine. In a few years time I hope to be working full time and settled down, with a partner, in our own place.
