Hi, my name is Ryan. I've been having a tough time and have been homeless for 6 months, sometimes sleeping at friends places, but most on the time on the street - as you know, people have their own private lives.
I’ve been in emergency accommodation which is coming to an end soon, and I'm in desperate need of help or I will be homeless again. Finding somewhere to live has been the biggest challenge I’ve had to face.
I just got on to Beam which I think is an amazing opportunity in helping people like me and others across the country - as we all know there’s no joy in being homeless, it comes with headaches and stress.
I’m so excited that we can get the help we need by the love of others that understand our situation, which also set us up for having a better life and future to look forward to. We appreciate all the help received as it’s hard doing it alone, especially in these hard times we are living in.
I know I will feel really happy moving in to a new home, just knowing that it’s a relief of the pressure on my shoulders that’s been weighing me down. Being homeless is not nice and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone to go through, especially when the weather’s not nice - it's killed a lot of homeless people over the years.
I would love my life to be happy and at peace with stable housing, working full time, and catching back up with time.
