Becoming homeless when you have children is incredibly stressful but it’s also given me the strength to overcome any obstacle.
I stopped working when I had my children and focussed on being a good mum to them. It hasn’t always been easy but we’ve just signed a tenancy agreement for a new house and then Beam got in touch. It really feels like everything is turning around and the future is looking bright again. My kids will be in school in September so I’m excited to be able to focus on myself for a while, build my career and a good life for all of us.
I’ve always been incredibly passionate about dentistry and my dream is to become a dental nurse. It can take a little while to find the right apprenticeship so in the meantime Beam is helping me find a job as a support worker. I can’t wait to get back into work. I’m excited to have a routine again and be able to use my skills to help others. I’m also looking forward to the moment when I’m financially stable and independent. It’ll mean the world when I can celebrate that with my kids.
