I’m currently working, but it’s a zero-hour contract and the hours aren’t stable and I tend to just cover colleagues’ shifts where I can. I don’t get enough shifts to be able to provide for my young daughter and I.
I’d love to find work as a carer because I love supporting vulnerable people, and the hours would fit around my own childcare needs. I’ve been job-hunting for a long time with no real luck. I’ve been using apps, I go to job fairs, and I’m constantly applying. However, most companies are asking if I can work night shifts but I just can’t as my daughter is still so young.
