It has been quite an adjustment to move over from Ukraine to the UK. Back in Ukraine, I was an immigration lawyer, and now my life for me and my daughter has completely changed. I dream of peace in the world. I really want stability for my family. My main priority is being able to provide for her and create safe environment.
I'd love one day to return to my old job as an immigration lawyer in Ukraine, but meanwhile I'm hoping to find a stable job so I get a stable home for me and my daughter. My daughter is now enrolled in school here and has been learning English. She had never spoken english before we moved here and it is now better than mine! I’m happy when my daughter is happy. I really enjoy being able to show her new places and travel together - I hope when things are stable we can do that again.
I am so thankful for the support that we've been offered, it's really opened up the possibility to continue to build our lives over the next few years here. I am very grateful to the people of Great Britain for their open, kind and sincere hearts. It’s my first time asking for help so that can feel a little odd, but I'm incredibly grateful.
