Myself and my two children have been living in the UK for a little over a year now. We fled from the war in Ukraine, which was the biggest challenge we've ever faced. My husband is on the front line and I worry about him every day. Despite this, what keeps me going is the safety of my loved ones. I work full time as a cleaner, and while it's physically demanding, it keeps me active and helps me manage my physical health.
Currently, we're living with a host family who have been incredibly kind to us. However, as winter approached, the lack of central heating in the house is a real issue. We've been told we need a three-bedroom house, but I can only afford a two-bedroom one. We're not fussy about the type of house, we just need somewhere warm. We also need to stay in the Havant area for my job.
Knowing that there are people out there who want to support us in achieving our goal of finding a stable home is truly heartwarming. In two years, I hope to be living in my own house in Ukraine with my husband and all the children. But for now, finding a warm home here would make us feel a little happier. Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
