I've been through a bit of a tough time recently, having gone through a break-up with my partner. I've been staying at my dad's since last September. I've had a bit of a dip in my mental health, but I'm doing my best to stay positive. I find that going for walks and hitting the gym really helps me keep my spirits up.
The biggest goal I want to achieve with Beam is to find a stable place I can call home again. I've rented privately before and I know I can afford it, but the instability of my current situation has made it hard to secure a place. I'm also looking to get back into work, ideally in a warehouse or getting back into barbering, which I have years of experience in. But right now, my priority is to find a home where I can have my son with me.
Knowing that there are people out there who want to help me achieve my goal feels amazing. It's a tough stage in my life, but I'm looking forward to the future and what it might hold for me. In two years' time, I see myself in a happy, stable home of my own, making memories with my son and working in my dream job as a full-time barber.
