One thing that really makes me smile is helping others. So when I'm in work, the first thing I'm looking forward to doing is donating to charities.
At the beginning of this year, when I left the restaurant I used to work in and the accommodation attached to it for a better life, things went wrong for me unexpectedly. A friend of mine helped me, and I've been staying with him since then. I've started work again over the past few months, helping to unload big lorry deliveries to make a living - but that's not what I want to be doing in the future.
Everything started to look up for me when I met my friend Hana, who told me about Beam and explained how they could help me to help myself. After meeting with Beam, I started thinking about what I enjoy - and barbering came up, because it's something I used to do and like. When you see someone smiling and happy, even after you've only slightly changed their style, it's great. But I'm not a professional, so I'm looking forward to improving my skills.
In 2 years, I imagine that my life will be fantastic because I will be doing something I enjoy. I'll be a professional barber - working with a team, chatting and having fun together, and styling people to make them look and feel good. I'll be able to take care of myself and help others who are in need.
