Being able to put a smile on someone’s face and make their day 10x better is amazing. I can’t wait to work as a beautician and be that person - making someone feel better about themselves.
Where did my passion first come from? It’s something I’ve been interested in for a long time! I completed a short course in nails and beauty a few years ago now. I was offered to continue with the Level 2 course at one of the big beauty schools in London. And I would’ve loved to have done this, but I didn’t have the funds.
Recently, I had to leave home. Well, I was kicked out. Friends and family are helping me out, but I am trying to find my own place. I’m working at the moment, and viewing places whenever I can, but finding somewhere affordable in London is hard. I was advised by a friend to go to my local council where my situation would be solved. I met a lovely lady who is giving me advice on my housing situation. She also asked what I was interested in doing with my life. I told her I want to do something in beauty! She was the one who referred me to Beam.
The best thing about this course is going to be meeting new people and building my connections in the industry. Once I’m fully qualified, I hope to go into a job that will make me financially stable and happy in the future. I am so motivated to be able to do a job that I look forward to going to. In time, I would love to be able to build my own clients and brand. My main goal is make sure I have no regrets.
