I came to the UK last year from Ukraine because of the war, but life has been OK recently. Stability is the most important thing: a home for me and my daughter, a stable job. We're living in a hostel now which can be noisy and complicated - we wake up and I don't know if the council is going to move me to another place, so I always worry about it. My daughter has a disability and coming here was very destabilising for us both, but now she knows her teachers and the other children at school so things are a bit better.
Eventually I would like to go to college to improve my English but for now I just want a stable job. I'd like to work in childcare, and maybe in the future study to become a nurse. I really want to help people with my work; with my daughter's disability I have some experience caring for her, so I like to learn about these things and make people feel better. I think it would be nice to be a nurse - it's a good job to have and will always have work.
My wish is to have a flat, a job, for my daughter to be studying well, and for the war to finish in Ukraine. For now I really appreciate stability, and sleep! Just basic things really, but maybe in the future I will be able to travel to new places and visit new countries.
