Ryan's campaign has fully funded! 🎉 A Beam employee is now supporting him on his journey through training and into work as a lorry driver.
But other Beam members need your help. Support the greatest number of homeless people to train up and get into work by giving monthly.
A picture of me working at my new job! I've started driving for a great company in London. This would not be possible without the support of all the wonderful people at Beam and the supporters.
Thank you for the opportunity to start my life over.
Merry Christmas to you all and happy New Year. 2019 is going to be a great year!
I have passed all of my HGV training. I am now a qualified HGV1 driver! I could not have done this without the wonderful people who donated, giving me the opportunity to start again . Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, and a great big thank to all the staff members at Beam. This would not be possible without the support they have given.
I'm now interviewing for different driving jobs. I can't wait to be back in work. Wish me luck!
Have a safe and blessed day,
I have been studying for my Driver's Certificate of Professional Competence. The test is coming up soon so wish me luck!
And then I start my HGV1 lessons on Monday before sitting the test next Friday. This is the last stage in my training and will allow me to drive the biggest lorries here in the UK.
Thank you very much to everyone that has helped - this will change my life for the better.
So an update from me. I passed my Class 2 driving test today with zero faults!
I was super nervous but once I got into the test it just sailed by.
Next up is my driver's Certificate of Professional Competence then my C+E category training. I'll then be able to get back to full time work.
Once again thank you very much - this would not be possible without the help from all of you. Have a safe, blessed day.
Oh my gosh, thank you so much to everyone that has helped so far - this is an amazing feeling that others help people out like this.
So an update: I have passed my theory test! 🎆
Now onto my CPCS - hopefully with all your help soon I can be back to be back to driving. Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart.
Have a great and blessed day.
On Saturday I went for my medical, which I passed. I've now started the process of passing my theory test.
Thank you very much for all your support so far, I would not be able to start this process without great, kind people.
Thank you so much and have a safe and blessed day.

Too often homeless people are forced to lie out of sheer desperation. We think it's better when relationships are built on trust and honesty. Beam verifies each member in 4 ways:
1. Referral: every member of Beam is referred by a registered homelessness charity or local authority.
2. Interviews: before their campaign launches, each member is interviewed twice by a Beam Member Manager.
3. References: we take references on each member from the charity who refers them and someone in a position of responsibility.
4. Profile: we take great care to verify information in a member's story is true.
It's your money.
We work hard to ensure that you can give confidently.
A caseworker or "Member Manager" is an employee of Beam who helps those referred to Beam to plan a crowdfunding campaign and supports them through training and into work.
All Member Managers are trained professionals who specialise in supporting vulnerable adults by focusing on their strengths and abilities.
